Hey Everyone,
Thanks for your patience with our first batch of surveys. We worked out some issues with shipping, but everything is fixed and working great now.
You'll all be getting your surveys in your inboxes from BackerKit this morning, so look out for them, and please try to fill them out as soon as you can. If you don't see it, check your spam filters.
BackerKit is available to handle tech issues and troubleshoot, so feel free to reach out to them for help, and we're here to help too, though we might be slow getting back you over the holiday (Happy Thanksgiving to all our US backers; may you have a genuine Redwall feast!)
Also, for those in the EU or UK, we are not collecting VAT along with shipping. So delivery will be DDU (VAT on delivery).
Thank you all so much, and may you have a festive weekend!
John & Nicole
P.S. If you pledged for the Player's Adventure Journal, please only order 1 copy. You can print as many as you need from DriveThruRPG later on with a single code (each at the cost of printing, which is around $2.47 each right now).

Burr aye, greetins ye Redwalliens! Oi be opin ye be harvin ur deloightful day!
Just a quick update from the abbey! The BackerKit surveys are starting to go out over the next couple days. So look out for an email from BackerKit! It only takes a couple of minutes to fill out. So go for it! Huzzah!
On the production side, we're trucking right along, despite my back going out and catching my daughter's cold! The first 3 mini-dungeons are ready for editing, and I'm starting the next 3 asap. We have 4 great Redwall-like recipes in the Founder's book, and I've test-cooked/baked them with much success. My favorite is the Light’s End Spicy Seafood Soup. Yum!!
Here's a new art piece from Yuri which I can't stop staring at. I mean, come on!! How awesome!! It's for a fabled armor, shield, and sword set.
And here's a piece I'm working on as well. Who wants a Pack Lizard? (I'm raising my paw super high).
Okay, more updates soon, and keep an eye on your inboxes for the BackerKit surveys!
Cheerio!

Backer Surveys Coming Soon

Hey Dark Foresters!
Great news! Kickstarter has finished processing, and we're about to send you BackerKit's pledge manager emails. Monday most likely since we're wrapping everything late on Friday.
For those who are new to Kickstarter and crowdfunding, BackerKit’s pledge manager is a simple follow-up system used after a Kickstarter ends. It lets you confirm your shipping address, choose any extra add-ons you want, and complete payment for shipping so your rewards can be delivered smoothly. It's where we manage all the data and spreadsheets of pledges, backers, and items.
We'll do an update to remind everyone right after it goes out.
For now, if you know anyone who was on the fence about backing the project, our pre-order page is open on BackerKit to take late-late orders!
Cheers and Redwalllll!! (brand new art by Felipe Faria for the spell Choral of Beasts)

More Dark Forest art!

Greeting Redwallers!
Here's another quick update with a couple more art pieces.
First is the final art for the GM Screen. I realized with the last update that it would be great to show everyone how it turned out. This screen folds 4-ways to fit with your other A5 OSR-type books. The center image is an homage to my very first GM Screen back in 1980, with a bit of the Player's Handbook in the BG.
Then there is Yuri's fell spirit called the Reaper (fell spirits are evil extraplanar outsiders). Wild!!
Finally, as a lifelong surfer, I have always wanted Ochre Jellies to be tentacled monsters that float along in the dark. So these are the ochre jellies of Dark Forest!!
We'll have more updates as new stuff is added.
------------------------------------------------------------
Finally a quick shout out to Jellop!! These folks help us reach out to folks who never would have found Dark Forest otherwise. Huzzah!! Here's some info about their cool newsletter.

Hey Dark Foresters,
While we wait for Kickstarter to complete their 14-day wrap-up, we've been busy on the products.
- First, I've made a cool change to the GM Screen; instead of printed rules on the inside, it will now have clear plastic pockets, so you can print and insert whatever rules you use the most, or anything you like! You won't be stuck with whatever I want on there; you get to customize it. Huzzah!!
- The Fumble Deck is complete and printer-ready!
- And finally the Premade Character Cards are complete and printer ready! There's new character art on the back, and the character sheet front has been updated with a hand-drawn background and stat boxes.
The adventure is almost fully written, Anthony could not stop writing, so it's gone way past 60 pages now! So the binding may have to change from saddle stitched to perfect bound. More is merrier!!
The main book is still coming together, with the last stretch goal additions falling into place and new art dropping in. Here's Andrew Beckwith's latest. The artwork depicts a scene set in the desolate Ashblight Waste (please ignore my typos, our editor hasn't started!)
We also have a new artist whom Nicole and I met at the Spooky Empire con a few weeks ago, Ava-Marie Gomez. She has beautifully illustrated one of our Iconic Monsters, Glorx-Actium al Beshkst. A god-like dragon, now an oracle (again, typos abound and stats are not final).
Finally Cameron Mass has also come onto the project and done a couple WILD illustrations for the bestiary. Here's one of them, a tallfolk lich.
Okay, that's all the news from Castle Clark. We wish everyone a happy Friday, and we'll drop another update soon.
Cheers!
John & Nicole
